Washington Dee-Cee
Nashville, Tennessee
USA
Established in Nashville in 1922, the iconic brand Washington Dee-Cee, which dressed generations of American ranchers and farmers until the Seventies, is finally back in the game. In collaboration with Veneto-based company Doro Group and together with Italian entrepreneurs Tommaso Rossi, Alberto Raengo and Gino Zarelli, Italian Designer Chicco Barina- Creative Director of WDC- has indeed decided to re-launch the 100-year-old North American Cult brand. Their aim is to celebrate its original Western spirit, its one-of-a-kind heritage and its corebusiness - ranchwear- by focusing on premium overalls and denim wear for women. It's the beginning of a new exciting chapter for Washington Dee-Cee. The brand's new headquarter is located in a 17th century Villa by the Brenta river. All the production is now Made in Italy by a 50-year-old company that was initially specialized in workwear and that is now focused on the production of denim garments. The new owners are betting on high quality, innovation and sustainability. As their textile partner, they have chosen Italian Candiani Denim, the World’s finest and most sustainable denim mill. They are proudly part of the Candiani Golden Rivet (the Premium Italian Denim quality seal and stands for Made in Italy, Sustainability and Innovation) selected companies. It's always a pleasure to see such an iconic brand sunk into oblivion for decades, rises from the ashes.
