As it recently brought Séverine Lagrange, the passionate founder of the Belgium wool knitwear brand with conscious Around Mrs.O, to the wild Mongolia to buy its precious national treasure, the cashmere and meet the brave local nomad farmers, artisans and producers. More than a business trip, the latter has been an amazing, meanful and unforgettable Life experience. Proud and committed Ambassador of Slow and sustainable Fashion,  focused on sharing the values- Heritage, Craftsmanship and Travels-  inherited from her beloved Granny Odette, the young female entrepreneur in progress is a woman on a mission. "When I created Around Mrs.O 9 months ago, I wanted to create a desirable, durable and meaningful knitwear brand. After the success of the Timeless collection,  my aim is to work both directly with my partners and on the source to improve the quality and ensure the full traceability of my production. My meeting with Mongolia was full of meaning. It has been like a comeback to the roots: it is a beautiful and peaceful place where you forget profitability, quantity and the frenzy of increasingly rapid collections". she told MCCOT. There, she has learnt a lot spending 3 days with a breeder and his family. She has also become aware that the Green Gold Project is ensuring the breeder's community a fair income, a more sustainable use of pasture and healthier animals living freely in nature. The government is also trying to do its best to limit the dyes, encourage, as much as possible, the use of the natural color of the fiber and limit the size of the farms to preserve the environment and avoid the impoverishment of the soil. Near to the producers, she has discovered two other interesting and little-known fibers issued from the baby camel and the yak- a kind of cow- she is looking forward to working with soon. Sustainability belongs to the Around Mrs.O 's DNA. Séverine wants to make a difference in the fashion industry. That is why she designs and creates eco-friendly clothes made to last the longest and to be passed on from one generation to next. As she is hoping to pass on her son her business and a better and greener world.
