Some founders and fashion designers constantly need to show off. Others, more reserved, prefer to stay behind the scenes and let their collections speak for themselves. As Susanna Moretti, who founded SANFASÓN, the Roma-based sustainable Ready-to-Wear maison 100 % 'Made in Italy', does. A talented fashion designer and female entrepreneur who celebrates a timeless, seasonless, sophisticated and modern femininity through her collections designed for strong-willed and self-confident women in her Roman atelier located at 22 Via del Governo. Passionate about fashion since ever and conceiving style as a way to express oneself, Susanna started, slowly but surely, with a team of dressmakers, putting all her heart into this new creative challenge, born almost by chance, with a lot of humility and without pretension: with an attitude that inspires the Gallicism SANFASÓN. At SANFASÓN, details make the difference. All the paper-templates are hand-made and all the prototypes are worn by normal women with curves. Susanna is indeed proud to design for real women. The brand is also a committed ambassador of the Slow Fashion's movement which is turning the Fashion Industry into a greener area: the fabrics, resolutely purchased in Italy as the passementerie and buttons, are indeed rather produced in small batches for more sustainability. What concerns creativity, for the founder, memories which make our lives richer and unique, are an incredible and endless source of inspiration: "How many times finding old pictures in a drawer, looking at a dress, a skirt, or a top we wore, we remember a special event, a city or a holiday. It happens all the time. I'm convinced that a garment is more than something to wear, it is a real way of expressing our own style, feeling better and dedicating ourselves quality time and beauty. It is also a way to remember". she explained. That is why SANFASÓN has the mission to share cherished old memories and create beautiful new ones. Since its debut, the Maison also shares Susanna's passion for travelling and for all the cities. Every garment is indeed called after the name of a city. Every season is a real invitation to an imaginary international trip around the world. From the Amalfi's Coast (Amalfi, Anacapri, Caserta, Ischia, Maiori, Minori) to Northern Italy as Venezia, Como, Murano, Burano, Verona...What a programme! In addition to being purchased online, the collections are available at an accurate selection of Italian and International shops: at Royal Bungalow in Cannes on the French Riviera, at Bacall & Bogie in the USA, at Nuëet in Formentera and Alessandrelli in Perugia. In Sicilian Siracusa which is the beloved adoptive city of the Roman designer, the brand owns a beautiful flagship store located at 77, Via Roma in the heart of the historic district of Ortigia.
