Andrea Dominique, Jaqueline and Micaela are the granddaughters of Ernesto Illy, son of Francesco Illy, the founder of the Illycaffé company established in 1933 in Trieste. The three sisters have inherited the passion for coffee and respect for science that have been the lifeblood of the Illy family for generations. In the footsteps of their grandfather who was a doctor in chemistry and used to say that 'Research is love for the world', after years of research and innovation led by award-winning experts and experienced scientists of the Illy University of Coffee and the Biofarma group, the three young women have recently launched a B Corp certified science-based functional, ethical and eco-friendly premium skincare line made from regenerated coffee (the world's richest source of natural antioxidants) extracts. Its name from African-Yoruba origins is AMAReY; the latter means "possesses great strength". For the Illy's sisters " Amarey is the change they dreamt of seeing, the shift from linear to circular, from extractive to regenerative, from thoughtless to thoughtful." Committed to the preservation of the environment, the new founders have chosen a virtuous and circular business model. The brilliant idea was to use the remaining 90% of the coffee cherry (only 10 % is indeed used to make the beverage) which is rich in health-promoting phytochemicals. And transferring the scientifically recognized great benefits of the Coffea Arabica (which Limits oxidative stress, repairs the skin barrier, stimulates circulation, reduces skin inflammation and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin) from the food sector to the cosmetic one. They did it and developed together with their team a true magical "espresso" for the skin. A simple, effective and innovative coffee-based beauty routine composed of a soothing face cleanser, an antioxidant face serum and a moisturizing face cream for now. AMAReY is synonymous of authentic products, for authentic people, from authentic resources. 1% of the sales are dedicated to climate positive initiatives. All of the packaging is FSC Certified and sustainably made.
