Running a small independent craft business can be really challenging on a daily basis. Especially for female founders and entrepreneurs. Passion, dedication, commitment and hard work are essential to keep going and never give up. It is really worth it when it is a dream of yours come true. Almost a decade ago (in 2016), Sibilla Soldini had the brilliant idea of paying a special olfactive tribute to the Swiss Italian Canton Ticino, her beloved homeland. SOALP (a funny wordplay between SOAP and ALP), her small niche premium label of natural and handcrafted- in small batches- Alpin soaps and cosmetics, was born to offer customers a one-of-a-kind unforgettable eco-conscious sensorial beauty experience at home. For 4 years, she has been supported by Sandrine Ambrosini, a part-time librarian passionate about letterature and natural skincare that she met by chance at the right time. A precious business partner who is in charge of the production and manages all the administrative and commercial aspects. The close-knit duo can also rely on the expertise of an effective contributor (Moritz) in the workshop and the one of a skilled social media manager (Agata). In addition to being the founder, Sibilla is the creative and strategic mind on board. She also personally enjoy harvesting in the local woods once a year the wild local flowers and herbals that are used to produce in a simple, artisanal (handmade) and clean way the exquisitely-perfumed small range of soaps and wild elderflower skincare e body care, gentle for the skin and respectful of the environment. SOALP is a committed and generous brand which is proud to collaborate with and support local social and charitable foundations and entities as the Melano-based protected agricultural laboratory l’Orto il Gelso della Fondazione San Gottardo where the wild elderflower is dried and where SOALP's team buy its rosemary. As well as the workshops La Linea and Il Punto which both belong to the Fondazione Diamante that supports work inclusion for people with disabilities. If you believe in the power of aromatherapy, you will for sure fall in love with this new Swiss natural beauty routine which smells so good. Try to believe.
