Without notice and fortunately, life can sometimes turn itself into a kind of fairy tale with a happy ending. When, just after her graduation, Lille-born Laure de Sagazan started her career as a junior assistant in the fashion industry in Paris, she never could have imagined the future international success that she would have encountered a few years later as a founder and entrepreneur. It indeed all happened out of the blue thanks to the totally unexpected request of her cousin to design and sew by hand her first ever made-to-measure wedding dress. An episode that confirmed her talent and ability to create one-of-a-kind items. The evidence she was clearly meant to embark on this new path of hers. Then, slowly and organically, putting all her heart and soul into it, Laure, who is an avid collector of vintage treasures- she started collecting as a child- has become a renowned wedding dress designer as well as a bold and committed ambassador of slow couture and 'Made in France'. Advocating a more assertive style and a new aesthetic, she has redefined the look of the brides of today and tomorrow. Her eponymous Bridal couture house LAURE de SAGAZAN, established in partnership with her beloved husband and business partner Edouard in 2011 in Paris, is now a must-visit address for every future bride, from all over the world, who is looking for the perfect fit for her special day: a tailored, elegant and exclusive handcrafted creation with a poetic vintage touch, individual signature of the house. In 2021, on the occasion of her Maison’s tenth anniversary, following her desire to accompany the brides -that she has had the privilege to dress in the last decade- in their motherhood and dress their beloved little ones, the happy mom of three launched Détours by LAURE de SAGAZAN . A premium children's label (From 6 months to 10 years old) that celebrates the magical world of childhood. A collection of delicate and timeless garments with a strong, singular identity and a retro charm, dear to Laure's heart. Specially designed to last, easy-to-wear, slowly and lovingly crafted with care, from natural and noble fabrics, in small ateliers. Refined and sustainable pieces and accessories that kids love to wear in their everyday life or at a ceremony. To shine and have fun.
