Nutró Studio

Porto

Portugal

Finding our happy place can take a while and sometimes it can be very hard on us. But if we do not give up despite the barriers and difficulties and we keep fighting for our dreams and life goals, we undeniably can do it. Odessa-born and Portuguese by adoption- she settled in Portugal at the age of 12 to reunite with her parents- Alla Kravchenko has fortunately found hers. In 2015, she indeed founded Nutró studio. A space for gentle rebellion based in Porto, the city she moved in at 21. " The name Nutró comes from the Ukrainian word for “inner self,” which reflects my instinctive way of creating and my belief that clothing can express our inner world. It’s an ongoing exploration of what it means to wear one’s inner world outwardly — to nurture individuality through form, texture, and time." she is proud to tell. Fascinated by crafts and arts since she was a child, Alla is now living her dream as a passionate and skilled craftswoman and a talented self-taught - she taught herself to sew and draft patterns- fashion designer by trade. Creating has always been a big part of her life. After studying visual arts in high school, she slowly started experimenting with upcycling clothes and leather accessories. The truth is she never stopped making clothes even if, in the meanwhile, she has to work other jobs to make ends meet. Supported by her beloved sewing machine, in her welcoming workshop, Alla is designing refined, functional, timeless, handcrafted pieces rooted in slow fashion — garments that feel alive, that move with us, and that carry stories of individuality and care. Not just clothings, but fragments of emotion, curiosity, and instinct made tangible. Bringing a contemporary and essential wardrobe with a special poetic and vintage touch to life. Proud to dress bold an independent- From the age of 16, she lived independently on her own- modern, ambitious and passionate women like her. Embarking on this new journey of hers as a new founder, owner of a small business and ambassador of Slow couture has been quite emotional and, sometimes, challenging. But it also has been so rewarding and definitely was worth it." Building the brand has been a path of trial and error, with many financial challenges and moments of self-doubt, but also of growth and resilience. " she happily claimed and added " I work slowly, intentionally, and alone. Every part of the process passes through my hands: from the search for rare fabrics, to the first cut, to the final stitch. This independence is not only a necessity but also a philosophy — proof that fashion can be more intimate, more human." Supporting such committed and eco-conscious enthusiastic designers and generous human beings who are truly doing a difference, and showing the right way fashion should be, is always a pleasure. A true duty to us.
