Our planet is in real danger. The climate change is in progress. There is no more time to waste. If we want to secure a future to the next generations, we have to act Now or Never. In the past few years, before the Covid-19 pandemic, millions of citizens have already joined the movement #FridaysForFuture started by the young and brave Swedish Environmental Activist Greta Thunberg. Each one of us can be a part of this green revolution. In 2021, three Italian strong Women Activists on a mission have founded the association weTree. Ilaria Borletti Buitoni (President and vice-President of FAI), Maria Lodovica Gullino (Professor of vegetal pathology and Director of the center Agroinnova at the University of Turin) and Ilaria Capua (scientist and Director of One Health Center at the Florida University) have indeed decided to do their part: Born with a green purpose, weTree was also born to honour the female commitment. Protecting the environment means protecting people from illness, reducing poverty and boosting the growth. The main aim of the Italian sustainable project is to convince all the Italian mayors to sign the weTree's pact in favor of the preservation of the environment. To be able in a near future to turn Italian Cities into green Cities. Some important mayors as Beppe Sala (Milan), Chiara Appendino (Turin), Andrea Romizi (Perugia), Leoluca Orlando (Palermo) and Antonio Decaro (Bari) have already signed. Sustainability is a necessity. The fight will still be long but it is useful.
