Claus and Jeanette Thottrup are the happy owners of the 300-acre Borgo Santo Pietro's estate since 2001. From an abandoned tuscan medieval village in ruin, they have created a dream 5-Star luxury resort surrounded by Nature. It was love at first sight. The Danish couple, based in London for several years, felt in love with the unique energy of this historical place, located in Palazzetto (Chiusdino) in the magnificent Countryside of Siena. They wanted it to be the perfect emplacement to enjoy slow life and relax in the middle of Nature. In this place almost mystique, uninhabited for 40 years after being a pilgrim's stop in 1200, their aim was to recreate this kind of spiritual retreat atmosphere of old times mixed with modernity.
