Granddaughters of a professional and skilled tailor, Marseille-born-and-raised sisters Emmanuelle and Claire, who are proud to say that they were raised in ‘rolls of fabric’, have inherited their grampa's passion for textiles and fashion. In 2010, under the sky of their beloved birthplace, they established their bohemian-folk, premium, ethical and eco-conscious children (girls & boys from 2 to 18) clothes brand called SUNCHILD. Born in front of the sea, the SUNCHILD spirit has a little taste of salt on the lips and wind in its hair, influenced and nourished by real life, trends and past inspirations. The collections are produced in India, Portugal and Tunisia respecting workers and the environment by using only premium and natural fabrics. Emmanuelle, who has worked 15 years for the successful family brand SUGAR, is in charge of the creative direction. To allow kids to enjoy their summertime in total freedom and in happiness- around the city or on the beach-, she puts first designs and cuts which are easy-to-wear and timeless. That can be worn years and carry over to other kids. As well as quality, comfort is one of her main priorities. She also always chooses positives and fancy colours which bring joy into the everydaylife of our little ones. Claire is managing the business and its growth. They resolutely form a complementary winning team. At the end of 2016, the first flagship SUNCHILD Bazaar designed by architect Anhthu Ho and nestled in the Opéra district, was opened. A happy place where to buy the collections but also some crushes like accessories, books, jewels and perfumes spotted by the founders while travelling.
