After graduating from her dream university, the Lausanne-based World's Leading Hospitality University and prestigious EHL Hospitality Business School and working as an intern for six months in a hotel in Berlin, she finally went back home to Paris and attended a master in Project Management. Despite her young age, Augustine always had clear in mind what she was professionally looking for. Because she puts her happiness and blossoming first, she could never imagine herself feeling satisfied with a boring well-paid job. Working shut up in an office all day long the whole week, only for a good pay check at the end of the month, was absolutely not her cup of tea. As a determined, active and pragmatic person, but also as a good problem-solver, she had been dreaming of an operational job in the Hospitality's area, that would make her feel useful and allow her to capitalize her expertise in management on the field. At the end of 2022, after resigning from a job that, unfortunately, did not suit her at all, she returned to her comfort zone and temporarily made the decision to join the family business, ready to take in charge the management of several properties owned by the family company. But, out of the blue, something unexpected and funny happened and her plans changed again. During a short vacation in Gagliano del Capo in Apulia to visit some friends of theirs, her parents totally fall in love with a 5.000-sqm property for sale located near their hosts' villa. In only a few days, they purchased it. An emotional and last minute decision that will turn Augustine's professional and private life upside down. Without notice but thankfully, for the best. Allowing her to embark on a new exciting and totally unexpected journey, which started with the request of a business plan and the unsuccessful quest of a local manager, who will take care of the whole renovation project, and then manage the rental of the property during the year. An opportunity that leads to a perfect Italian job that mixes Hospitality and management. A bold challenge accepted. A new beginning. Augustine has indeed made the decision to become the manager she was looking for. She checks all the boxes. She was trained for it. After a very busy 2023, spent between Paris (working hard and taking Italian lessons twice a week in her lunch break) and Apulia, supervising the work in progress of the local architects, artisans and workers who renovated the family property and getting it ready for the season 2024 , a new chapter has finally started. Since last March, Augustine, her companion Sébastien- they met and fell in love on the Swiss campus where they both studied- and their beloved dog Georges, are living in a little rental house, located near to the property.
