If talent, passion, hard work, dedication and persistence are important to succeed in life, being born under a lucky star can undeniably help- a lot- and make a difference. Being also born, as Cécile Aviérinos was, under a lucky 'Morning star' - the poetic meaning of her surname-, is a blessing too. Born and raised in the Mediterranean French metropolis Marseille in a Art lover's family- her favorite painter is Modigliani- with Greek roots (originated from the island of Kefalonia on her father's side), the skilled and successful top manager, specialist and strategist in visual communication, marketing and brand & product development, can only be grateful. For all the opportunities, professional and personal, but also, for the beautiful and productive meetings, and for the continued support that life provided her. Ambitious, passionate and determined since her young age, Cécile has always known what her true path was. Working in the creative and glamourous fashion industry has indeed always been on her mind. Inspired by the visionnaire and trailblazer French Fashion designer Agnès Troublé, founder of renowned maison agnès b. and designer of the iconic snap cardigan in 1979, Cécile chased the big dream of establishing her own brand since her teenagehood. Blessed with a strong personality that pushes her to follow firstly her instinct and heart, giving up the idea of following in her father's and brother's footsteps and becoming a doctor, Cécile moved to Paris, at the age of 18, to study and graduate at the top-ranked Parisian Business School ESCP. The perfect way of trying to manage to reach her life goals. At the same time she enjoyed her new independence away from home as a Parisian student, Cécile got the best training ever and became the qualified manager she was aiming to be. Thanks to a great commitment, lots of sacrifices, but also fruitful meetings and the right connections at the right time, she made it and succeeded as a top manager working for Unilever and then for the prestigious LVMH group. But, as all good things must come to an end, in 2010, after welcoming her first daughter, as a new mom, she felt the deep need to slow down. After a such successful and rewarding career as hers, finding a new effective balance between work and life has quickly become a priority to preserve her family and her own mental and physical health. Becoming an LVMH's internal consultant in charge of supporting Fashion, Cosmetics & Jewelry Maisons in their global marketing and retail projects, lifted a weight off her shoulders. At this moment she also started to daily practice yoga and mantra meditation. Two disciplines that have completely changed her life vision. Through this new ritual and the discovery of Indian culture, she has rediscovered her spirituality and an effective way to help coping better with the stress at the office. The perfect tools that gave her the strength, as a sensitive and empathetic human being, to grow and keep going under the pressure and the competition. Experiencing the dark side of being a successful female manager and the performance that hierarchy expects from you, was quite difficult and a cause of legitimate anxiety. For several years, surrounded by a multicultural team of experts, she had the pleasure and honor to work on special projects for Dior Couture and Dior Parfums. But also, by chance and fortunately, for the French fine jewelry Maison Chaumet. A dream came true and, as she admitted with a smile, 'the best job of her whole career'. A sign of Fate or a life blink on an eye that simply reminded her of her long-lasting passion for fine jewelry? As the popular proverb says: 'When one door shuts, another opens', after making the big and right decision to quit in 2020, she organically started to work as a freelance consultant. Supporting young brands as Parisian non toxic nail polish brand Kure BAZAAR founded by Christian David, a former colleague from Dior, by working on a long-term strategy and future projects development. A very interesting adventure that, slowly but surely, brought her to the next chapter of her life and to a new exciting journey she was finally ready to embark on. Time has indeed come for her to put all her unique expertise and make an old funny prediction of her beloved paternal granny from Athens, come true. “Cécile, when you grow up, you’ll open your own jewelry store and call it ‘Cécile Aube’ to honor your Greek name". A charismatic and elegant woman who loved and collected all kind of jewels. Cécile's good fairy. A magician that brought happiness and lots of Greek traditional jewels for all the family members, every time she visited. The one who first introduced her and her mother to Jewelry. The one she has inherited the exquisite taste from. Playing jewel shopkeeper together when she was a child was always such fun. Nice-based ethical and eco-conscious fine jewelry for soul and style Maison MARATHI was meant to be. Sooner or later. It was written in the stars. Called after the beautiful little Greek village where Cécile spends her summer holidays with her husband and their two daughters. A peaceful place where she can imagine moving to embrace a slow and genuine living with her husband when she will retire. The perfect spot to meditate and reconnect with your inner self and wild Mediterranean nature. But also strangely, and by pure coincidence, a choice which matches the name of an Indian dialect of Bombay. Guided by a quest of excellence and refinement and deeply inspired by an holistic, spiritual- the logo symbolizes the temple within-and sustainable approach, the founder and creative director, whose motto is 'without spirituality, beauty has no soul', had the brilliant and innovative idea of reinventing the traditional and universal meditation necklace, such as the Greek Komboloi or Indian Mala. Her one-of-a-kind, modern and stylish sort of talismans and lucky charms are created in collaboration with a talented designer and ethically -RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council) certified-, handcrafted in a Jaipur-based workshop by skilled and trusty artisans that share Cécile's core and human values. MARATHI is all about a harmonious mix of Greek Mythology and Indian culture. All the materials (natural raw as Walnut Indian tree, recycled Gold (14 or 18 K), Silver, Vermeil and precious stones) are responsibly sourced. Cécile, who is used to wearing at least one jewel to enhance her daily look since she was a young woman, is proud to carry on in the best way possible, her granny's legacy. Passing on this feminine ritual to her two teen daughters buying little pieces handcrafted by the same craftswoman in MARATHI every summer. As, from age of 5 to 18, she enjoyed memorable shopping jewelry trips in Piedmont in the company of her mother. Cécile is a happy woman and committed ecopreneur who has found her own path and reached her professional and spiritual blossoming. Back to her roots where she belongs.
