If each citizen of the world can individually make a difference every single day by embracing a more eco-friendly lifestyle, each founder and entrepreneur has the big responsibility of trying to become a role model, able to influence customers' behaviour in the right way. Especially when it comes to interior design and fashion. Convincing them to give up their bad overconsumption habits and stop filling their homes with useless and low-quality objects they clearly don't need. And, at the contrary, encouraging them to surround themselves with essential and 'beloved' ones. Beautiful and well-made objects that they can use everyday, cherish, repair if needed and carry on to someone special, close to their heart. German founder and ecopreneur Philipp Bree is taking this duty very seriously and with commitment from day one. Inspired and guided by the approaches of architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 'Less is more' and designer Dieter Rams 'Less, but better', on the 1st of October 2012, Philipp has established his virtuous and niche Hannover-based label of bags and accessories called PB 0110. His personal way to get more involved and truly advocate for a responsible consumption. Without following any trend, just his inspiration, he designs exclusively one-of-a-kind premium timeless, seasonless, durable and aesthetically minimalist pieces which people will connect with and love for a very long time. Beloved objects that will be the perfect companions to create beautiful and unforgettable memories and will age beautifully with their happy owners. At PB 0110, each item has indeed a kind of human face. Philipp is a strong supporter and ambassador of slow fashion. Celebrating and supporting craftsmanship is what he sincerely enjoys doing. Since 2013, his collections are indeed crafted by selected and skilled European manufacturers using only high-quality materials. Mineral-tanned leather from Belgium, recycled leather awarded the very highest certifications from a family-run tannery in Germany, obtained from surplus leather processing leather quality that consists of 80% leather and 20% natural rubber: From the Leather Working Group with the Gold Standard, Ökotex Leder, the German eco-label Blue Angel, the Environmental Management System EMAS and ECO₂L Energy Controlled Leather. Pure linen woven by an Italian family business and lining made from calf suede, sourced from a Polish manufacturer. Perfectionist at heart, Philipp is caring about all the details and finishes and pursuing excellence. Since 2012, he has been developing the metal fittings, which are made from solid brass in a Tuscan workshop belonging to a second-generation family business, with designer Friedrike Daumiller. All zips, also made of solid brass using the highest quality that YKK offers, are manufactured in the center of Germany. We sincerely hope for more ecopreneurs like Philipp in the Fashion industry. Inspirational human beings who are already making a difference.
