Passionate about the world of plants since a very early age, South-Tyrolean pioneer Erb. Dipl. Dr. Joseph Franz established the label in 1986. At a time when respect for Mother Earth was not yet on the agenda, his inexhaustible curiosity and deep knowledge of natural active ingredients led him to reach a meaningful milestone as he developed the world’s first Hightech Natural Cosmetics®.
Fully faithful to his life philosophy and core values, he quickly stood out due to his holistic, science-based, and eco-friendly approach to the business. Over the past decades, he worked hard to proudly be able to develop a one-of-a-kind range of plant-based and science-driven products that are both good for the skin and good for the planet.
According to him, 'Nature is the world’s most intelligent high-tech laboratory. She has found answers to countless questions. We just have to look and engage with the genius that she possesses.'
At TEAM DR JOSEPH Sustainability is a family matter. Together with his children Lena, Fabian and Viktor, who joined forces and are now proudly involved in the business, the founder has made a priority of his to provide high-quality, clinically-proven efficacy and sustainability with any compromise to his customers.
All the products- vegan, skin-friendly, natural, and cruelty-free (PETA certified)- are developed, formulated then ethically and locally handmade with great care by a team of skin experts, herbalists and cosmetic formulators. In the green in-house production and research laboratory, located in Bruneck, and whose entire energy consumption is covered by renewable energy from South Tyrol.
The innovative formulas are exclusively the result of the use of nature's most precious and exquisite natural raw materials, refined with modern technologies.
To ensure the lowest environmental impact, all of the packaging are made in FSC certified or 100 % recycled paper and are recyclable.
