If you are going to visit magnificent Sicily this spring or this upcoming summer and you are planning a pit stop in the charming and historic city of Syracuse which was founded by the Greeks in 734 B.C. and is part of the World Heritage List since 2005, there is a new spot in town that you definitely do not want to miss: The recently-opened flagship store of SANFASÓN, the Roma-based niche and premium eco-conscious ready-to-wear maison established and led by Susanna Moretti, a talented and passionate Roman Slow Fashion designer and proud committed ambassador and supporter of 'Made in Italy'. A dream came true. A welcoming fully-renovated bright, functional and contemporary 60-square-meter boutique located at 77 Via Roma on the magical island of Ortigia, which is connected to the city by the Umbertino bridge. A very special place close to the founder and creative director's heart. A unique location that she discovered, by chance, a few years ago during a trip in Sicily. "While visiting Syracuse for the first time, I immediately fell in love with Ortigia, an island rich in Art and culture, surrounded by a marvellous sea. Walking around Ortigia is like diving into a fairy tale. I couldn't find a better place to host my store. Whenever I have the opportunity, I come visit this magic place that deeply inspires all my collections." confides Susanna. Talented and skilled London-based architects Olimpia Presutti and Simonpietro Salini, who both took care of the full renovation, have made it fulfilling all Susanna's aesthetic requests and expectations regarding the internal layout and the decoration. They indeed opted for a slow, fluid and quiet luxury interior design and created a bespoke sophisticated less-is-more neutral project that perfectly fits the values, codes, signature and style of the Maison. And turned the place into a one-of-a-kind commercial set characterized by timeless and clean lines as well as essential and modern forms. The custom furniture, result of an harmonious and elegant mix of high-refined natural wood and brass, enhances the beauty of the delicate and ultra colorful collection showcased. As Susanna always wishes for, the precious, handcrafted in her Roman atelier located at 22 Via del Governo, garments are the true protagonists. The boutique is a cozy 'boudoir' where to dive into the unique creative and artistic universe of Susanna, enjoying a pleasant and minimalist atmosphere. A beautiful place as the ones that Florence-based visual storytelling, content creator and lifestyle blogger Daphne Palmitessa who has been a proud brand ambassador of the maison for several years, loves to feature in her popular and niche lifestyle journal.
