"Having built a successful career for oneself by working for prestigious brands or companies might be something to be resolutely proud of. But at some point in someone's life it is often not enough to feel fully blossomed. There is definitely more out there, like chasing a secret dream or a project; the one that will finally bring you to the place where you are supposed to be. Just like writing your own legend and enjoying the happiness you deserve. After five years in London and six more years in Milan working for luxury brands, Florenza L. took a leap by deciding to build her entrepreneurial reality and opting for a different quality of life. Splitting her time in between Milan, where she built the business, and Abruzzo, where her roots still linger and where she produces most of her collection. Grateful for the milestones she has reached in the past decades and for the beautiful experience abroad in her beloved London, the young Italian Fashion designer, graduated from the Milanese Politecnico, is now happily busy building a virtuous and exclusive community of people to share her positive life values with. Human beings who have chosen to buy LESS BUT BETTER, in a responsible and ethical way. Committed 'Citizens of the world', like her, who care for the future generations, our society and the planet. Women and men willing to make a difference in their small way. Because every little daily effort counts.A few years ago, she turned into reality a bold dream born at a dinner with friends: she has established 'THE BARN' (a meeting place between man and nature), her premium eco-conscious lifestyle fashion brand, ethically made in Italy. With the purpose of designing iconic, beautiful, durable, timeless, seasonless, practical and responsible garments. From the sportswear and formalwear to the incoming homeware.Without following any trend. Only inspired by her love for the casual and effortless elegance. The first collection is influenced by the tennis attire of the 1960s. As a committed and proud ambassador of Slow Fashion and real trailblazer, after accurate research, Florenza has set her heart on the nettle fiber which is natural, organic, high-sustainable, anti-bacterial, durable, resistant that does not need chemical treatments. As the name reminds us, THE BARN - a meeting place between man and nature- is a sincere tribute from a Nature lover to our Mother Earth, a priceless place we should cherish and preserve. From here the payoff “Wear Your Mother Earth”. A committed and virtuous female entrepreneur and founder who is celebrating her heritage. Using only natural dyes and producing locally at small workshops in small batches and on-request for tailored collections. Avoiding wasting natural resources needlessly. Upcycling, when needed (for the winter collection), premium fabric scraps coming from deadstocks. More than a simple clothing brand, THE BARN is aimed to be considered as a positive way of life. You can be conscious and well-dressed at the same time. Of course, everyone has their own style, but she’s happy to consider THE BARN as a kind of club for only a few. Considering also how “busy” the industry is. As an Art lover- her former showroom in Milan was located in an art Gallery District- Florenza has now in plan to open in Abruzzo a creative workshop and showroom where talented visionaries and artists can meet, work, collaborate and showcase their artworks. 'Art is a true source of beauty and inspiration' she told us. She has a pretty clear view of where she sees THE BARN in the future. Florenza is a big dreamer and the project is big. It will take some time, but it will surely become reality. "
